I can’t thank Ian enough for the care and compassion when we needed him last week. He made what was a horrific time that bit easier. Ian came at short notice and explained everything in detail. He was extremely caring and Honey was made comfortable in her own home. Her last moments were full of peace and love which is what we always wanted for our furbaby. Ian gave us time with Honey and even advised on what to do to help our other dog. I can’t recommend Ian and cherry tree enough. We were met with respect and dignity through out the whole process.

today i had to call Nicola, as my 8 year old, ex feral cat, Stevie had worsened with the lymphoma in his neck and i knew it was time. it has all been so quick, from him being unwell to know. but Nicola was fantastic. she explained everything to me, and we worked through it all. i cuddled Stevie whilst he was sedated, then made him comfy before the final step. he was so peaceful, and i felt at ease with him. i only had him a little under 3 years, and he had settled so well. Nicola was absolutely brilliant, reassuring me and explaining everything. i cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and caring. thank you so much

A massive thank you to Nicola and the Cherry Tree team for ensuring our lovely dog Poppy passed over the rainbow painfree and with dignity. It was such a sad time for us, Pops has been part of our family for fifteen and a half years, such a loyal companion but very anxious. She hated going to the vets and it would have been unbearable having to put her through the trauma.
We are so pleased you were there for us, the caring and time Nicola gave us helped us to say goodbye in a peaceful and unrushed manner . Nicola went above and beyond the “call of duty” and we appreciate this so much.

We knew the time had come for our beautiful boy Oscar. He had a wonderful long and happy life with us and spent almost all of his time going everywhere with us, work, holidays, family trips, and his favourite place was under our dining table in his bed looking out to the garden.
He grew old very gracefully but could no longer do any of things he once loved, once his quality of life was poor, we made the heartbreaking decision that we didn’t want him to suffer and Cherry Tree were amazing.
From the initial call with Sandra to when Nicola came out to our home to ensure Oscar had the most peaceful and beautiful farewell, to the liaison with the Crematorium afterwards, they were all so supportive.
Oscar was ready to go, he fell asleep so peacefully with his mummy and daddy by his side, Nicola explained everything and gave us time afterwards, and Oscar made his final journey with his favourite teddy and blanket.
We will be forever grateful to her for the compassion she showed Oscar and us and for enabling us to say goodbye to Oscar at home in his favourite place.

A wonderful team. Nicola came to us to put our baby to sleep for the last time. She was amazing with us, she talked us through every step and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye to our baby. She worked around and with us so that we could give our baby the best send off he could get, filled with love. She was respectful and spoke so gently to us, for that I thank you so much.

The care and compassion they showed towards our Jess was almost as if she were their own and we cannot put in to words how much this was appreciated and how thankful we were to have been put in contact with them when having to make such a heartbreaking decision. The toughest decision anyone has to make about their beloved pet is when it’s time to say goodbye. What follows after that is crucial, for us as owners and the animal. It can make it worse, or ease the trauma. I cannot find the words to express my gratitude or say how good Cherry Tree are. In fact ‘good’ is insufficient. From beginning to end my dear little Barney and I had the most compassionate, professional and dignified experience. Sandra, Jess and David, my heartfelt thanks.

We had to use your services to help our Dottie Dog. We have use Nicola before so we wanted her to help us again this time. Nicola takes her time and finds out about your pet then carries out the euthanasia with complete respect for the pet and owners. This time we came to Cherry Tree and Dottie had no idea what was going to happen so was not stressed at all. The facility there is like visiting friends in their lounge. We sat on the floor on a lovely fluffy rug and I held Dottie’s paw throughout. We did not feel rushed at any point during the procedure and was given all the time we needed with Dottie. We then had her cremated and picked up her ashes in a beautiful casket where even her paw prints had been engraved onto it. Thank you to all of you at Cherry Tree and Gentle Farewells for making an awful day bearable. I would recommend this service to anyone needing it.

Last week we bade farewell to our beautiful Scottie, Maisie. Nicola visited us and immediately made a fuss of and friends with Maisie. Her passing was gentle and peaceful thanks to Nicola’s expertise and professionalism. Likewise, David at the Pet Crematorium, his understanding is amazing, and we were able to bring Maisie home the following day.
